General Information

Boat Hire & Private Mooring

Leading off the living area is the balcony with outdoor furniture and views of the estuary and steps leading down to the waterside to your own private boat mooring where you can moor your own boat

If you do not have a boat but would like to take advantage of this fantastic experience, we hire boats from Maurice Hunkin at Fowey River Boat Hire

Maurice will deliver the boat to the property and will take you through a 15-20 minute tutorial, covering the use of the boat plus the rules of the river. He can also suggest places to go and will provide maps and life jackets. Prices from £180 per week. Booking prior to arrival essential – please enquire with Louise

Having your own boat will not only give you flexibility of travel but will help create some wonderful memories – imagine a lazy afternoon drifting up the estuary towards Golant where you can moor up and walk from the beach to The Fisherman's Arms for a spot of lunch or maybe pack a picnic and disappear to a secret bay or you may prefer to just sit and fish for Mackerel or Sea bass to cook on the BBQ for dinner.

Access & Parking

Getting to the property involves some narrow lanes, then when on foot there are a few steps and downhill slopes.

There is no vehicle access to within 40 yards of the property.

We include one car parking pass at St Saviours car park with the property. St Saviours Car-Park is located at the top of Polruan. The postcode for the Car-Park is PL23 1PZ

You can reverse your car down to the bottom of Battery Lane to unload prior to parking your car. The 40 yards to the property is then taken on-foot. Battery Lane can be steep in places but is flat once on West Street but becomes steep again for the last 10 yards on the approach to the gateway into The Old Watch House. The pathway consists of a slope with non-slip tarmac and steps with handrail.

Vehicles and contents are parked entirely at the owner’s risk.
